The VAKA Experience

The VAKA experience is a journey of self-discovery. No tests, no facts to memorize, no homework. 

The founding cohort will take place once a week over a six-month period, beginning November 2026. 

Each 90-minute session is comprised of group activities, meaningful conversations, real-world experiences, and exposure to people who have navigated diverse careers and life journeys. 

Most importantly it's a safe, collaborative and fun space to explore who you'll be when you venture out into the world. 

Every student's journey is different, but by the end of the experience you can expect to have greater confidence, stronger communication skills, improved decision-making, and a clearer understanding of your strengths and future possibilities.

You will also gain exposure to industry leaders, mentors, and diverse perspectives and build relationships and experiences that extend well beyond the classroom.

This is where knowledge meets the real world.

Knowledge alone won't tell you what to do when plans change or obstacles arise.

Through VAKA's T.H.R.I.V.E. framework, you'll develop greater self-awareness, decision-making skills and the confidence to turn ideas into action.

Rather than passive learning, each session challenges you to evaluate real-world situations, collaborate with peers to solve complex problems, and take ownership of your decisions.

VAKA is designed for students in Grades 9–12 who are curious, motivated, and eager to grow beyond the classroom. 

You don't need to have everything figured out.
